Local water disruptions - Jan 14th

Issued : Thursday 14 January, 2010

Water supply to Sallynoggin, Mounttown, Dalkey, Dun Laoghaire and Killiney has had to be turned off because of critically low water levels at the Church Road supply reservoir. According to Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Water department supply may not be restored until 19.30hrs tonight. Crews are working flat out to fix the problem. Please check Taptips for water saving advice.

Water supply to Blackrock is being restored to Blackrock on a temporary basis

The Council has been widely criticised for not responding to calls from the public but have issued a press release apologising for the difficulties being faced by residents during the current water supply shortage and those customers who have had difficulty receiving information on the up-to-date situation and were unable to get through to our out-of-office service last night. Customer queries during office hours can be directed to 205 4800 or outside of office hours 677 8844 or email water@dlrcoco.ie
